Valentines day of 2026, marked the return of Fear Himself , the Houston genre bending experimental metal quartet, from their hiatus with an announcement of an incoming release.

Their demo "Prototypical: The Live Sessions" , hit the scene during the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic . Described as " a mosaic of the band over time as we changed members, recording techniques, and locations," The demo documented the ongoing flux of the Fear Himself project in its earliest formations.
