PKWYS announced their first single and latest release , "Swing for the Fences" , from their EP "This May Leave A Bruise".

PKWYS is the solo project of Adrian Gil , with the inspirations of "MXPX", other Alternative legends , PKWYS bridges the emotive-core / hardcore elements into modern Pop-punk and Emo stylings in a league of their own.

SWING FOR THE FENCES

"Swing for the Fences ", injects a refreshing desire of inspiration and perseverance against all odds. The fast pace , bright guitars and exhilarating bass lines dance with the drumming adding to the thrilling tale of the underdog. Leaving the listener wanting more , making it hard not to root for them and leaves them eager see where the journey goes next.

PKWYS/Gil , describes the initial decision with the EP 's name:

" At first, this was going to be a self-titled record. Originally as a working title to one of the songs, I decided to name the EP This May Leave A Bruise. It sorta started off as a joke between Chris, my good friend and producer, and myself. However, I saw it as the perfect fit as the title because of the emotional roller coaster I went through putting this EP together. The overall theme in each song I would say touches on vulnerability, and processing emotions and topics that I’ve deemed too personal to share. "
